The 2026 School Spelling Bee Study List (450 words) is our recommended study list for students who are preparing for classroom-, grade- and school-level bees. If you are a School Champion, any of the 4,000 words on the 2026 Words of the Champions list may be utilized for future competitions.
School enrollment in the Bee for the 2025-2026 year begins August 19, 2025, at spellingbee.com. School bee coordinators at enrolled schools may access both the 2026 School Spelling Bee Study List and the 2026 Words of the Champions study list by logging into spellingbee.com and selecting School Bees from the left menu.
